Tree in the forest

The tree with its roots firmly in the ground

No storm, wind or hail shakes the base

Grasping not with the soft soil but to Earth’s core

Firm yet swaying with the seasons, adjusting to persist

Just being what it is, stretching its branches freely

No one asks why a tree is being a tree, its purpose known

First and foremost to the tree, in turn makes it apparent to the rest

The tree stands tall, with poise, fortitude and faith of what it is

Taking hold of the ground yet witnessing its surroundings and the heavens

The tree leaves rustle singing praises to the Maker Who Gave it all there is
